Remote Management of Retail Stores

Motive:

Retailers are always looking to reduce costs and make sales transactions more efficient. Many retail chains may want to change the general store layout or improve the consumers' in-store shopping experience. This may require that retailers upgrade their existing checkout system with a signature pad solution, which would allow each store to electronically retrieve sales transactions and signatures.

It can be a difficult task to integrate signature pads to an already existing POS terminal system while maintaining a cost-effective upgrade.

The HelloDevice Lite Series device server can be connected to the signature pads which are then linked to the store's credit card transaction database by way of the store's in-store local area network. Also, in conjunction with Tactical Software's Serial/IP software technology, this allows users to create virtual COM ports, thus enabling users to retain existing POS application. This cost-effective and reliable solution provided substantial operational benefits, and also eliminated the need for additional computer equipment at the cash registers
